During fall, the trees show us how lovely it is to let things go.

Although I prefer summer: I appreciate the four seasons.
I like the warm feeling of the sun rays covering my body. I also love the heat.
Plus, I appreciate the easiness; sandals and a light dress from morning to evening.
One outfit. Effortless.
Fall comes second. Fresh and surprising. Colorful and crisp, it brings a weather twist.
Talking about twists, this season or the next: I’ll end up with some lemons.
My life realities can take a sour spin. Many of those circumstances have placed me in a very particular crossroad. I believe it’s a popular life intersection. I’m sure you’ve been there : let go — or — keep entertaining the difficult energies.
I used to keep count. Who and when. Where and how. Disappointments, offenses, disturbances and aggravations.
I often felt fearful and alone, defeated and discouraged. I have no control over what happens in my life. This said, I was responsible for cultivating negative attentions.
Whether you keep up with the sum or not: after each day, comes night time. For every win: often comes a loss. To live is: to experience friction.
Some type, another type, any type.
I kicked and screamed, stood up and fought: but for what?
Seasons change. Life does too. I can’t change none of that.
Although I rarely wanted to lose anything, anyone or any circumstance: it kept recurring. As obvious as the leaves fall from the tree to ensure its well being: some losses are necessary for the progression of life.
Eventually, I decided to adapt and I learned where to invest my energies.
I also learned to let go, and surrender.
I don’t use surrender with the connotation of giving up.
When I talk about surrendering; it’s relative to releasing the power that a particular reality holds upon us. Letting go is natural evolution: we had to let go of our mother’s arms to learn how to walk. We let go of our youth’s beliefs to become adults.
And so on and so forth.
Like the tree that loses its foliage; I recognize that I feel lighter when I let go. When I adapt, adopt and forgive.
I mention forgiveness because its integral to any real growth.
Self forgiveness is necessary. Forgiveness of others is beneficial.
Life forgiveness is key for inner peace.
I try to stay aligned. When faced with uncertainty, losses and heavy struggles: I strive to present the best version of myself.
Afterwards, I try to surrender with love. Let go and let be.
Much of my life comes down to those words. Does yours too?
Still: it doesn’t really get any easier.
What did change for me: is that I developed my abilities.
These efforts enable my daily appreciation and my momentary presence.
I recognize and know for sure —- that I do much better if I stay grounded in the present time.
As leaves pile up on the concrete sidewalk, as I sit and observe the colorful tree foliage: I’m reminded that shedding is natural and a part of life’s evolution.
This four season lifestyle requires efforts. With each season change: we adapt and adopt our lifestyles. It’s true.
Yup. It’s agreed.
With the fall changes: the trees do remind us how lovely it is to let things go.
