Cookie #12

I love me some Tupac.

I also like people and tables.

I sit to write, to drink or to eat.

And sometimes to talk.

Don’t get me wrong: I like to chat.

Let’s go.

We can talk about your day, about food, maybe music or about the summer weather creeping. What ever.

Discussing is not only about talking either; it’s great to listen.

What’s on your mind?

Honestly: if I check myself; I recognize that I’ve sat at those kinda tables before.

During my teenage years; I didn’t really know any better.

Gossiping is a social practice and is somewhat entertaining; but it’s also vain and negative.

I know that cultivating critical thoughts is ultimately; detrimental for me.

Nowadays; what stops me from sitting at those tables isn’t the fact that I’m probably next on topic.

If you are going to talk about me or judge me: I don’t think I can change that.

Plus, I’m not too concerned about it.

Fundamentally, I step away from such conversations because I recognize that a judgmental talking is unhealthy for me.

My choice is rooted by three strong reasons:

One: I’m completely imperfect and my world is undeniably messy.  Often; my ducks are not in line.

Since I’m not perfect and nor is my life; how can I believe it’s fair for me to judge someone else?

Second: I don’t cultivate superficial energies.

I try to halt any poor opinion about other individuals.

When I notice such a thought being developed in my mind: I shift my focus.

I know that my personal perspective about a different individual and their reality has profound flaws.

I recognize that I can only perceive a small fraction of another person’s world.

That grass I see: isn’t the real and total picture.

Thirdly: before any of my thoughts are spoken, they must pass through three gates.

If any of these questions are answered with a negative response: my words should not be articulated.

One: Is it kind?

Two: is it mandatory?

Three: is it 100% true?

Hence, if I sit around talking tables, I stay silent or talk positive.

I can easily extrapolate on strengths and optimistic ideas.

Sure.

I’m sorry, i the vibes are critical or negative; I’ll excuse myself and leave.

I got a life to align.

#Mine.
