Reset, re-adjust, re-connect and re-focus as many times as you need to.

When I enjoy places or things: I’m happy to experience them again.

I like to revisit appreciated beaches or restaurants and I’m happy to recreate that delicious meal I prepared last week.

Certain songs I love on repeat,  it’s a thing for me.

Doing something or enjoying something more than once can surely be very pleasurable.

I’m certain you can also think of certain things you care to experience several times.

This can nourish our souls, it can be beneficial for our bodies and may soothe our minds.

True.

But recurrences can also be uncomfortable and unsettling.

I know certain repeated realities can be unpleasant: having to retake a certain course or class, explaining the guidelines again to an upset child, relationship breakup, etc.

Some say that we keep experiencing the same endeavors until we learn from them.

Eaaak. Hmm.

I don’t know if this is true. Maybe it’s more about gaining a specific insight.

If we think about it: most professions require recurring educational updates.

There are innovative approaches to acquire, new material to gain or more procedures to master. I guess there is always something to learn then.

I used to think life would get easier. Not sure when or where I got that from.

In my teens, I thought that life was something like a triathlon or an obstacle course.

When you overcame a specific obstacle: very rarely would you have to experience that section again.

Oh how naïve I was!

Shit absolutely reoccurs.

Let’s not idealize anything or anyone. Your stuff reoccurs. Some of mine too.

Life is hard.

But let’s be real: life is amazing while being challenging. Also repeatedly.

As much as I wish that hardships would not reoccur in my reality: they often do.

Truth be told: it doesn’t really get any easier.

Still today, I find myself struggling.

I clumsily juggle and sometimes I forget my basic lifelines; physical exercise, spirituality, silence and loving thoughts.

It’s also important for me to keep revolving around my F&F-friends and family. Loneliness is okay but when I’m feeling low, it’s better for me to spend a portion of my time around people.

My life has brought many unwanted adaptations: geographical, physical, professional and emotional limitations.

I struggled, I juggled, I spun ut of control.  No doubt; I sometimes sank.

Low. Although in the end; I always managed to make it through.

I don’t know much about the phenomenon of predicament. Why they happen or how to avoid them.

I learned to overcome them. Gracefully. No bad feelings held.

But I know this.

Things will change. Some of it won’t …but most of it will.

Your priorities will shift and your daily energies as well. Your surroundings too.

I try to embrace it: heart breaks, deceptions, anxieties disconnections: they reoccur.

We don’t get a free pass nor a badge for going through the repeated heartaches.

Sorry. Nah.

Plus, they might happen again.

Like any storm, it blows things around. It creates a mess to clean up.

I remind  myself to dance when the rain falls and to sit quietly through the wind lashes.

As we gain life understandings, manage situations or prioritize certain aspects in our realities: it is constantly to redo.

So let’s reset, re-adjust, re-connect and re-focus as many times as we need to.

No shame bout it.
