Snap a Cookie #7

I have lots.

It feels bizarre to claim; but I believe it to be true.

I have a beautiful home, a loving family, a full fridge, water at my fingertips, a handsome husband and an incredibly kind and intelligent child.

My life presents unbelievable twists and life turns.

And through it all: I find amazing support.

Truthfully, I’m blessed.

I recognize it, I cherish it and I share most of what ever I can.

Sincerely, I wish blessings for everyone.

I believe that my awareness journey has changed me.

A long while ago, I used to perceive my life cup as mostly empty.

I focused mainly on what was missing. The difficult realities around me and all of the empty spaces.

Often: I felt bitter and alone.

Then, my life literally crashed.

To persevere; I made a choice.

Pulled by a ton of anguish, I wanted to survive gracefully.

I learned and decided: to focus on the positives.

That conscious growth: was nourished with great teachings, amazing mentors and peaceful energies.

During this time; I learned to cultivate my blessings, as I still do.

I also express my love and gratitude frequently.

Many of my dreams have materialized. And I’m still working on fulfilling others.

When I look around me; I notice that we do; count often.

There are different type of totals in our modern society.

What are your preferred scores?

Numbered hours in your agenda, calories, salaries or square feet?

Billboards, stocks, battery life or model series?

I know that those counts tally up to a decent effect.

But keeping graceful accounts?

These seem much more seldom.

Truthfully; call it clumsy humbleness; but to my claim my blessings publicly: does seem a little funny to me.

My perceptive nature fears that the listing of my blessings might remind, press or discourage someone with less.

I’m blessed and I’m aware of it.

As I said: I got lots.

Love counts. travel sums, desired encounters, goal accomplishments, physical objectives, etc.

Maybe what I should try to articulate my benedictions a little more regularly.
